After 13 years of successful heritage-led regeneration, PվɫÇ鯬 has completed its project to restore and preserve key parts of Rothesay’s historic built environment.
PվɫÇ鯬 has formally adopted a plan for the area that will help deliver new development, safeguard the outstanding environment, attract external investment and address barriers to economic growth.
PվɫÇ鯬 is to consider freezing council tax at a special meeting next month, following a series of discussions with the Scottish Government over the last few weeks.
PվɫÇéƬ’s registrars conducted nearly 500 marriages and more than 20 civil partnerships in 2023, and things are not showing any signs of slowing down soon, with 20 ceremonies already conducted so far this year and a further 314 in the diary.
Two new Learning Centres for children and young people with complex Additional Support Needs (ASN) living in some of PվɫÇ鯬 and Bute’s most remote areas will open towards the end of 2024.
The Deputy First Minister and the Leader and Deputy Leader of PվɫÇ鯬 held positive discussions to discuss PվɫÇ鯬 and Bute’s particular circumstances. This follows confirmation of £62.7 million that was previously contingent on the outcome of the Spring Budget. Discussions will continue with the focus on resolving any outstanding issues.
